Kundalini & The Radiant Body
Shrouded by mystery and secrecy, the concept of Kundalini is often misunderstood and/or avoided. This session will clear up the mystery and invite you to an understanding of what it is and how to work with it to realize your full potential as a radiant creative being. You will learn the process and guidelines recommended for Kundalini awakening, and explore the techniques, practices and disciplines necessary to support it.

Awareness & Lifestyle
The ability to stand back and to observe one’s mental and physical activities from a neutral space is a goal of a yogic life, as are compassionate living and skillful action. This session explores the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita in relation to our lives on the path of yoga and the cultivation of deeper levels of awareness that allow us to become more aligned with our inner guidance, our goals and dreams.
Explore powerful practices to move through blocks and increase awareness, presence and magnetism.

Pranayama – Dissolve The Veils That Cover The Inner Light
Understanding and having confidence and direct experience of the key practices of pranayama is vital for any serious student or teacher of yoga.
This session explores the science of the breath and its potential for increasing vitality and longevity, to calm and focus the mind, and cleanse physical, emotional and mental disturbances. Explore the experiences delivered through certain breathing techniques and learn how to integrate them into your own practice and life.

Kriya – Action toward Liberation
This session offers an exploration of kriya as a methodology used to create lasting transformation through: provoking somatic experience, releasing old attachments, strengthening the nervous system, shifting mental patterns and expanding awareness. Learn how to bring these potent energetic elements into your practice and class.

Meditation – Cultivating the Witness
This session covers the application of meditation in the yoga tradition. Explore the experience delivered through certain meditation techniques and the awakening of witness consciousness. Learn what it takes to make your mind one-pointed and steady. Gain recognition of what is underneath the different thoughts and ways to manage them, this will enable you to shift your inner dialogue and awaken your intuitive mind.

Mantra – The Yoga of Sound

300hr Module: Iyengar Yoga and The Art of Inquiry with Carrie Owerko

This five-day immersion (advanced training) for teachers and serious students will be an in-depth, yet playful experience in the rich, creative, and varied tradition that is Iyengar yoga. We will unpack, explore, and experiment with some of the main principles and practices of Iyengar yoga and beyond. The intention of this immersion is to re-ignite and inspire the learner within.

A strong emphasis will be placed on the what, the how, and the why of practice. Through this analysis we will learn to ask better questions, the types of questions that help bring about a deeper and more meaningful inquiry. Learning through a process of inquiry helps to keep us open, curious, and continuously growing and evolving in our practice, our art, and our teaching.

Each day's thematic exploration will include a variety of postures, functional movement explorations, and postural modifications as well as alternative practices for those with injuries or physical conditions. The practice will be comprehensive and include basic pranayama and a joyful excavation of some of the major principles of yoga philosophy.

The Art of Practice // Deliberate and Playful:
We will look at these different types of practice and how they can be utilized and integrated. Practice is a playground, laboratory, and refuge for a teacher. It is essential to keep one’s practice ever evolving, fresh, and nurturing.

Some Great Guiding Principles for Practice:
A practice that is guided by principles can transcend individual tradition and preferences and be a fertile soil for experimentation and application in various spheres. For both the teacher and the practitioner it is an indispensable tool for problem discovery, problem solving, and the capacity to adapt to the present moment circumstances.

The Art of Possibility:
Many students and teachers will recognize that at times they are their own worst enemy. We will plumb the art of possibility by exploring our language, as well as our approach to problem solving or problem discovery. There are so many ways to make what seems impossible possible by thinking outside of the box, being creative, and cultivating a more fluid growth oriented mindset rather than a fixed and limiting mindset. This means we will have to give ourselves both space and permission to make mistakes, fail even, and by doing so learn the art of "how can I, or how might we?" as opposed to "can I, or can't I?"

Fun with Props:
Props are fun! We will play with props and discover some of the many ways they make the impossible possible, and what is too easy more challenging and rewarding.

Alignment // Form, Fun and Function:
We will look at what we mean by the word "alignment" and how best to live this concept. We will utilize some principles of basic biomechanics and movement analysis to help us live this question.

Analysis, Synthesis and Finding Meaning:
Throughout the immersion we will be alternately analyzing, synthesizing, and finding meaning in what we are doing. The emphasis here will be not only be on the what and the how, but most importantly on the WHY. We will return to the question of why over and over, and learn to love and live this question as it is at the heart of “Iyengar Yoga and the Art of Inquiry.”

300hr Module: Radical Freedom // The Alchemy of Presence // Tantric Meditation Intensive with Scott Schwenk

In all forms of Alchemy, fire is present. Within each human being, behind all the thoughts, body sensations, and emotions is a spark of dynamic Awareness which is free from conditioning, and the Source of Joy, Love, and prolific Innovation and Creativity. This Tantric Meditation Intensive is deep training in consciously living from and becoming stable in this Inner Freedom. Each in-person gathering, along with the homework practices will carve deeper pathways in the brain, nervous system, and conscious awareness for living, loving, creating, and evolving in abundant deep states of Flow; effortless skillful action and inner contentment.

Perfect for new practitioners and long-time meditators, this Intensive will be deep-dive training for Leaders, Coaches, Mentors, Guides, and Counselors in using more Universal energy, rather than the old models of relying on and exhausting one's personal life force.

We will explore the history of meditation, and expand on core practices of focus, breath techniques, mantras, and the work of Waking Up, Growing Up, Cleaning Up, and fully Showing Up.

300hr Module: 75 Hour Art of Wanderlust Style Yoga Teacher Intensive with Schuyler Grant, Jenn Perry + Chad Dennis

This intimate training is for experienced teachers (1 year minimum experience), seeking new inspiration and yearning to deepen their knowledge of intelligent hands-on adjustments, or for those simply hoping to better understand Wanderlust’s unique style of creative alignment based yoga. What distinguishes Wanderlust-style vinyasa from its brothers and sisters in LA is Wanderlust teachers’ particularly close attention to alignment and detail, coupled with a creative and progressive approach to sequencing.

This Teacher Intensive will:
• Help you apply what you already know, as both a teacher and student, in order to lead highly intelligent and creative Wanderlust-style vinyasa classes.
• Enhance your current understanding of intelligent yet creative sequencing and your ability to communicate physical and philosophical instruction clearly and concisely. Because there will be a focused emphasis on anatomical awareness from direct experience, expect abundant palpation and hands-on adjustments.
• Provide a platform for you to realize and develop your authentic teaching voice. This includes identifying vocal habits, both good and bad, that you have picked up over the years [or decades!].

The intention is that all leave inspired and excited by an entirely new set of questions and aspirations for their teaching path. Because the path of a good teacher is always the path of a curious student.

300hr Module: Inquire Within // Tools for Tuning your Asana and Navigating Life with Ganga White and Tracy Rich

In every aspect of Yoga, inquiry is key. Learning to feel and discern the effects of postures and practices is essential to tuning and balancing your unique psychophysical being. Finding how to adjust the practices to yourself instead of fitting yourself into a practice is liberating.

There are many dimensions and polarities to be aware of that inform your practice: Poses as Tools not Goals. Practicing for Wellbeing vs Posturing and Posing. Articulation in Asana. Your Life is Your Meditation. Yoga Beyond Belief.

Join us for a 3 day journey through the physical and into the mystic with asana, pranayama and meditation. This workshop is designed to make you see, feel, think as you navigate your life and inquire within.
